Mental illness is certainly growing in this country and one only needs to point in the general diection of Washington, D.C., to confirm that we are only steps away from political psychosis. For the past few days, I have been following the so-called "financial
reform bill," proposed by the Senate Democrats, which is not really a reform at all, but another "license to steal."

It is being spearheaded by Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd, who has already declined to run for re-election. Senator Dodd declined to run, because he wanted to spend more time with his family, which is a euphumism for "there is no chance in Hell I can win."

Senator Dodd was shoulder deep in the financial meltdown and benefited personally from a now bankrupt company, giving him a sweetheart mortgage. Dodd vociferously denies this, but the Hartford Courant (the largest paper in Connecticut), pretty much exploded
Dodd's story. In additional to calling him a liar on the front page and in the editorial page, they ran a large type headline calling him a weasel.

That's pretty strong stuff from a Democratic newspaper and after it was published, Dodd's stock sank like the Titanic, leaving him with an approval rating in the teens. But in the Kafkaesque world of Washington, seniority has its privileges. The politician who did the
most damage to the economy, along with our old friend Barney Frank, is now in charge of "reform."

It certainly is amusing that Dodd has blocked any attempt at reforming Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, which were run by high level refugees from the Clinton administration, who made tens of millions, by cooking the books. All this talk about how greedy Wall Street
executives are is all well and good... but let's remember there were some very greedy politicians, with a hand on the throttle, too (and 99% of them were Democrats, including Dodd, Frank, Pelosi and Reid.) They all had hands in Clinton's Community Reinvestment Act, which decreed that the government would force Fannie and Freddie to sell mortgages to people who could not afford them.

The other guy who blocked any reform at Fannie and Freddie was Barack Obama. He voted to keep the scam going, as a Senator from Illinois. One of the key beneficiaries of the largesse was ACORN, which was out encouraging people to buy homes.

Then, there is the $50 billion dollar slush fund, that will be used for nothing but bailing out friends of the Democrats. You'll undoubtedly remember that TARP money was not to be spent on bailouts, but that's where it's going and there are no controls to stop it.

So where does fish oil fit in here?

One of the things fish oil helps with is mental acuity. It keeps the pipes clean, renews the plugs and provides healthy fat where it needs to go, especially to the brain. To maintain your mental edge around these Washington folks, who are cerebrally challenged, and
come out on top, you need pharmaceutical grade fish oil.

You see, in Washington, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and talks like a duck...it's probably a jackalope. If you take pharmaceutical grade fish oil, you'll actually be sharp enough to realize, like the Hartford Courant, that if it looks like a Senator,
walks like a Senator, and talks like a Senator...it's really just a s---weasel.
